Lauren Tritch: Student Spotlight

Oct 9 2019 - 2:00pm

Over the summer, junior advertising and public relations major, Lauren Tritch, worked in Minneapolis, MN as an account services intern at The Lacek Group. She had the opportunity to work with three high-profile clients while managing projects and working closely with her team members— she even had a visit from one of her favorite professors at the J school, Jemalyn Griffin!

Lauren is thankful to have a supportive mentor like Jemalyn in her corner, “She’s empowered me to be confident in a field that can be competitive and incites burnout easily. She’s also helped me discover my passion for strategic management roles.” Now, Lauren works for UNL’s University Communications as a project management intern where she’s an integral connector between clients and the internal team.

Lauren’s advice for CoJMC students is to never stop trying new things because you learn more about yourself. Join a club that you don’t know anyone in or go to a meeting for something you’re not even sure you’ll like!
