Senior advertising and public relations major Kimberly Chungong and senior broadcasting and advertising and public relations major Celine Hayes have received AAF’s Most Promising Multicultural Student awards. They attended the MPMS conference from Feb. 10-13, along with Interim Dean Amy Struthers, in New York City.

“We attended an especially inspiring luncheon that both Kimberly and Celine presented at. They spoke with confidence and acted as accomplished presenters,” Struthers said. “Some say we have no diversity in Nebraska, but that’s not true— when we see it, we all just need to do a better job of honoring it.”

Chungong and Hayes had the opportunity to network with top-tier professionals in the advertising industry as well as reflect on the importance of diversity in society today. While the award honors students, it also enables winners to further their knowledge of the industry through interviewing, networking and immersion opportunities.
