Kaylee Everly, of Fremont, placed second in the Hearst Journalism Awards Program’s National Championships held in Washington, D.C., June 2-5, 2014. Overall, University of Nebraska–Lincoln finished second in the Intercollegiate Multimedia Competition; fourth in the Intercollegiate Broadcast News Competition; and tenth in the Intercollegiate Photojournalism Competition.

Gary Kebbel

Gary Kebbel awarded a Fulbright Specialist Grant

The Council for International Exchange of Scholars has awarded Gary Kebbel, a professor of journalism, a Fulbright Specialist grant. Kebbel will be working with the U. S. Mission to the Africa Union, a cooperative organization of 54 African nations where he will be consulting with the Africa Union on its draft strategic communication plan. This is his second Fulbright Specialist grant award.
