Suong Nguyen, senior advertising and public relations major at the CoJMC, was recently accepted to the 2019 Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP). The program is sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) and provides students with a full-time, paid internship.
Alumna Rebekka Schlichting was recently named a 2018 “Native American 40 Under 40 Award” recipient by The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development.
CoJMC alumna Mecca Slaughter is working as a professor of English at the University of Tetovo in Macedonia. Slaughter is a May 2016 journalism graduate and a May 2018 master’s grad from the integrated media communications track.
Karla Martinez, a 2018 Advertising and Public Relations graduate, certainly had her fair share of experience. She interned at Partners + Napier in Rochester, New York the summer before she graduated. Upon returning to Nebraska for her senior year, she was a part of Jacht, Ad Club, Creative Commons and interned at the Asian Community Culture Center.
