Two CoJMC students earn Gilman Scholarship for education abroad

In 2021, two College of Journalism and Mass Communications undergraduate students were among 31 who earned the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to support credit-bearing study abroad, internship abroad, or virtual international opportunities.

Online AP Stylebook available for all faculty and students

The college has purchased a concurrent license to the online AP Stylebook in collaboration with the UNL Libraries. The concurrent license will allow all faculty, staff and students to use the online AP Stylebook by signing on through their libraries account.

SLICE to host nonprofits in residence during the spring semester

The Student Leadership, Involvement and Community Engagement Center will host nonprofits in residence throughout the spring semester. Scheduled organizations will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Nebraska Union. Students can stop by to network and learn about industries, internships and volunteer opportunities.

Apply for the Bailey Lauerman Student Opportunity Scholarship. This scholarship is funded by Nebraska advertising and public relations agency Bailey Lauerman. It recognizes a junior or senior advertising and public relations major who has participated in activities or organizations that promote and celebrate diversity and has an interest in pursuing a career in advertising and public relations.

Six College of Journalism and Mass Communications students were selected to be New Student Enrollment (NSE) orientation leaders for 2022. As orientation leaders they'll work with faculty, administrators and other leaders on campus to prepare the class of 2026 for life as a student and a Husker.
