Four Huskers win awards to support summer internships

Four University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications students received internship awards to support their summer internships. Internship awards provide students with funding to help offset the cost of pursuing unpaid internships, low-paid internships or internships located in large cities.

Mai Vu awarded Nebraska public relations scholarship

Incoming senior advertising and public relations major Mai Vu was awarded a public relations scholarship from the Nebraska chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Each year, PRSA Nebraska distributes scholarships to students in the Public Relations Students Society of America Nebraska chapters to encourage member’s learning and future public relation endeavors.

‘Being Black in Lincoln’ receives Kennedy journalism award

Twelve students in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln's College of Journalism and Mass Communications took home the College Journalism Award at the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Book and Journalism Awards on May 24 for the “Being Black in Lincoln” depth-reporting project.

Wendling awarded the Nelson Dream Big Award

Senior journalism and political science major Zach Wendling was awarded the Nelson Dream Big Award. The award will help fund his summer internship at The Hill, a media corporation that reports on policy and political U.S. news.

Advising team announces 2022 peer mentor cohort
