Two UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications students received internship awards to support their summer internships. Internship awards provide students with funding to help offset the cost of pursuing unpaid internships, low-paid internships or internships located in large cities.

Jacht wins 9 awards at 2024 AMA Prism Awards

The Lincoln chapter of the American Marketing Association held its annual Prism Awards on May 9, 2024. The Prism Awards celebrate the strength and innovation of Lincoln’s marketers. Jacht Agency, the College of Journalism and Mass Communication’s student-led agency, won five Prism Awards and four Sterling Awards.

172 degrees awarded at May commencement

UNL’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications celebrates the 172 students who graduated on May 18, 2024, with a bachelor's degree in journalism. CoJMC is the only program in Nebraska accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications. The degree provides students with the technical skills, broad liberal arts education, and critical thinking skills necessary to excel in the ever-changing journalism and mass communications industries.

Trutna earns College Sports Communicators postgraduate scholarship
