The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications is proud to announce Dave Remund as the February Professor of the Month.
The Professor of the Month program recognizes outstanding faculty members who go above and beyond in their service to students. Remund, an assistant professor of practice of advertising and public relations, has been a dedicated member of the college faculty since 2022.
Remund uses his more than three decades of professional experience in strategic communications to enhance his teaching and create hands-on learning experiences for students, preparing them for their future careers.
Remund is the faculty liaison for Buoy, the College of Journalism and Mass Communications’ student-run advertising and public relations agency service Nebraska nonprofits and mission-driven organizations. He is an active member of the Public Relations Society of America and serves as the faculty advisor of UNL’s chapter. He is also the UNL PRSA Bateman Case Study Competition team advisor.
Senior advertising and public relations and journalism double major LeAnne Bugay nominated Remund for Professor of the Month. In her nomination, Bugay said, “Dave has excelled as the Bateman Competition adviser! He provides insightful feedback and pushes us out of our comfort zone every day. Dave has been an inspiring leader who nurtures curiosity and creativity in all of us.”
