The College of Journalism and Mass Communications has made important updates to the Checkout Room rules, hours, and special request procedures for the upcoming Spring 2024 semester. Please take note of these changes:
Changes to Rules:
The checkout room rules have been updated to reflect that fines and fees of $100 or more will now be added to the borrower’s consolidated bill through Student Accounts.

Hours for Spring 2024
- Andersen Hall Location: Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Virtual Zoom Room: Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Agency Location (Lincoln Children's Museum):
- Monday: 2 to 3 p.m.
- Tuesday: 3 to 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 2 to 3 p.m.
- Thursday: Closed
- Friday: 2 to 3 p.m.
Please note that during the first week of the semester, student holidays and breaks, and the summer, the Checkout Room will be open by appointment only. To make an appointment, email cojmc.checkout.room@unl.edu.
Changes to Procedures:
The procedures for requesting an extended duration, advanced equipment or a drone have been updated. Authorization is now exclusively online, and previous paper forms (Sushi cards) will no longer be accepted.
