Robert Cohen Bio

Robert Cohen is a staff photojournalist at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch where he photographs all aspects of life in the Midwestern community where he lives. Cohen's images of unrest in Ferguson, Missouri following the police shooting death of Michael Brown contributed to the Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News Photography awarded to the photo staff. His photographs of suburban poor families living in motels was also a finalist for the prize. He has been recognized eight times as Regional Photographer of the Year by the National Press Photographers Association and is a member of the Scripps-Howard Editorial Hall of Fame.
