Upcoming on-campus internship interviews for CoJMC students

Tuesday, October 2, 2018 - 2:00pm

The CoJMC has two upcoming opportunities for students to interview for internships at Lincoln Journal-Star and Norfolk Daily News. Information on each of these visits is included below.

Lincoln Journal Star

Lincoln Journal Star Weekend Editor Alex Lantz will be on campus Thursday, Oct. 18 to interview students interested in applying for the newspaper's 2019 internships.

Internships with the Journal Star are open to talented, web-savvy writers interested in working closely with the online desk and public safety reporters. In addition to covering the cops beat and generating general assignment stories on the weekends, interns assist reporters in covering news events for the web - live tweeting, writing quick, meaningful updates and searching for unique ways to present content online. The Lincoln Journal Star has several newsroom intern openings for the spring, summer and fall semesters, all paid positions.

·Spring internships: Begin in January and end in May, part-time (10-18 hours/week).

·Summer internships: Begin in May and end in August, full-time (40 hours/week).

·Fall internships: Begin in August and end in December, part-time (10-18 hours/week).

Interviews are being scheduled in 30-minute increments. Sign-up for an internship interview by Wednesday, Oct. 17 at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b044ba5ab29a1f58-oncampus1.
