Twenty seven College of Journalism and Mass Communications graduate students received their master of arts degrees and/or were honored with a graduate certificate on May 19 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s graduate commencement in the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

CoJMC offers a comprehensive master's program in journalism and mass communications, with specializations in integrated media and communications and professional journalism. The 36 credit-hour program aims to enhance students' professional skills and knowledge, enabling them to advance in their careers.

The college also offers two graduate certificates, one in public relations and social media and one in financial communications. These 12 credit-hour programs offer students a deep dive into a focused area related to professional competency in journalism and mass communications.

"We are thrilled to see these talented students graduate and pursue their careers in the dynamic field of journalism and mass communications,” Shari Veil, dean of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications said. “They have worked hard to complete a rigorous program, and we are proud of their accomplishments."
