Sunday, June 20, 2021 - 7:45am

The Lincoln chapter of the American Marketing Association held their annual Prism awards to celebrate the strength and innovation of Lincoln’s marketers on Thursday, June 17. Each year, an AMA chapter from another city judges award entries from local agencies and corporate marketing teams, identifying winners for the merit and Prism awards.

Many CoJMC students, alumni and faculty were awarded at this year's event. Adjunct and alum Tyler Thomas was awarded Marketer of the Year. Founder and CEO of Kidglov Lyn Wineman is an alumna and a member on the college's strategic planning committee. This year Kidglov was awarded Corporate Marketer of the Year. This year's Hall of Fame Inductees were retired Emeritus Professor Amy Struthers and alumna Jennifer Schultz.

CoJMC’s 2020 National Student Competition Advertising (NSAC) team won an award in every category they entered into. They earned three Prism awards in Digital Ads, Animation/Motion Graphics and Short-form Video categories. They also earned two Sterling awards in the B2B Marketing Campaign and Integrated Public Relations categories.

The team developed a B2B campaign for Adobe Experience Cloud for Advertising. The “A New Dawn” campaign, created awareness to increase the merit of Adobe Experience Cloud for Advertising in the hyper-fragmented adtech market.

The 2020 NSAC advisors were Kelli Britten, Patti Harney, Rich Bailey and Diane Krajicek. The following students (now alumni) were part of the 2020 NSAC team and attended UNL’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications, College of Business and/or the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts.

"Every year our client teams tackle the challenges of the client's goals and needs to produce not just amazing creative work but also documentable results for the client. We are thrilled to see the hard work of the students recognized by Lincoln's AMA chapter. We are especially proud of the DE&I award for our recruitment campaign as our agency is committed to working to create a more equitable and inclusive culture at the agency, including the recent addition of a DE&I department to ensure this stays at the core of who we are,” said Krcmarik.
