The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Journalism and Mass Communications is proud to announce Abigail Reed as the March Student of the Month. Reed, a senior broadcasting major from O’Fallon, Missouri, was recognized for her dedication to going above and beyond in her pursuit of excellence in broadcasting.

Associate Professor of Practice Alan Eno said in his nomination, “Abby has been going above and beyond outside of her classroom roles at the college this semester. She has volunteered two to three hours per week to temporarily join my BRDC 369 class as a trainer and producer for the Perry Photo Challenge live stream project. She's been coordinating the students in their positions, producing assets for the stream, and training students on the flypack hardware and software. She's going to run the show on the day of the event. In addition, she's played a critical planning and coordinating role in the last couple of esports live streams and the one coming up in March.”

The CoJMC Student Advisory Board selects students of the month based on the kudos they have received during the previous month. Award winners can choose from among three prizes, including a college t-shirt, a Starbucks gift card or lunch with CoJMC Dean Shari Veil.

To nominate students for Student of the Month, recognize their commitment to college values by giving them kudos. All kudos recipients receive an email notification and certificate acknowledging their contributions to the CoJMC community.
