The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Journalism and Mass Communications proudly announces Alex Neill as the November Student of the Month. Neill, a senior broadcasting and sports media and communication double major from Lebanon, Tennessee, was recognized for his leadership and work with the campus radio station 90.3 KRNU.

Associate Professor Rick Alloway said in his nomination, " Alex is an involved student leader and content creator. He returns to the KRNU Experience Lab platform this fall, working again with Helen Howard as team leads for the 25 students interested in radio and audio content creation. He and Helen led the students to record 30 specialty shows on KRNU and KRNU2 last spring. In addition, an episode of his specialty show, "The Subgenropedia," which focuses on fascinating music subgenres, won national awards for audio production last year."

The CoJMC Student Advisory Board selects students of the month based on the kudos they received during the previous month. Award winners can choose from three prizes: a college t-shirt, a Starbucks gift card, or lunch with CoJMC Dean Shari Veil.

To nominate students for Student of the Month, recognize their commitment to college values by giving them kudos. All kudos recipients receive an email notification and certificate acknowledging their contributions to the CoJMC community.
