Jill Martin was named the January Professor of the Month by the CoJMC Student Advisory Board. Martin is an assistant professor of practice in journalism. She teaches journalism and community reporting courses, leads the Nebraska News Service, and serves as co-director of the Experience Lab.
Martin was nominated by sophomore journalism and broadcasting double major Ariana Joy Cobler. In her nomination, Cobler said, “Jill did her first-ever workshop with the CoJMC Ambassadors!! She did fantastically and the high school broadcasting students at Lincoln High really enjoyed what we presented!’
All students can nominate CoJMC faculty for Professor of the Month. The award honors teachers who go above and beyond to support student learning in the college.
