Green's induction into the Hall of Fame is a recognition of his remarkable career as a professional football player, during which he spent eight seasons with the Green Bay Packers, setting numerous records and helping the team win the NFC Championship in 2007. He was also a two-time national championship winner with the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football team.

In addition to his achievements on the field, Green has made a name for himself in the world of esports. He joined the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications as a lecturer and esports coach in January 2023, where he brings his expertise in both traditional and electronic sports.

“We are thrilled to have an athlete with Ahman’s experience in both traditional and esports on our faculty,” said Shari Veil, dean of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. “His induction into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame is a testament to his wide-reaching impact throughout the sports community.”

Prior to joining UNL, Green was the head coach of Esports at Lakeland University, leading multiple teams to championship titles and teaching a course on esports business management.

Green has also hosted several esports tournaments, worked as a commentator and analyst for various events, and served as the director of business development at ESTV (Esports Television) in Los Angeles. Through his philanthropy and community work, Green has left a lasting impact on the sports industry and beyond.
