Dover, Lenz join the Nebraska News Service

Haley Dover of Grayslake, Ill., and Danae Lenz of Billings, Mont., have joined the College of Journalism and Mass Communications’ legislative news service this spring. More than 100 news organizations with a combined circulation greater than 200,000 throughout Nebraska receive regular news updates about state government and the legislature’s actions from a reporting service of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Meet the spring 2014 Omaha World-Herald fellows

The Omaha World-Herald chose four undergraduates from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications to work as fellows at the newspaper this spring. The students are Tammy Bain, Shelby Fleig, Emily Nichter and Faiz Siddiqui.

Maria Marron

University of Nebraska–Lincoln selects Maria Marron as journalism dean

Maria Marron, chair of the Department of Journalism at Central Michigan University, has been selected as the new dean of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Marron will begin her transition into the dean role in June and be in Lincoln full time starting on July 1.
