Tuesday, May 30, 2023 - 5:15pm

The Lincoln chapter of the American Marketing Association held its annual Prism Awards on May 4, 2023. The Prism Awards were created to celebrate the strength and innovation of Lincoln’s marketers. Student groups within the College of Journalism and Mass Communications won nine Prism Awards and three Sterling Awards.

The 2022 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) team won five Prism awards in the following categories: Marketing Campaign, Marketing Research, Media Plans, Advertising OOH and Integrated Public Relations. They also won a Sterling award in the In-Person Event category.

The team’s awards derived from their integrated marketing campaign for Meta Quest virtual reality headset technology, Quest 2. The campaign won second place at the district competition.

The 2022 NSAC advisers were former assistant professor of practice Kelli Britten and lecturers Rich Bailey and Diane Krajicek.

Nebraska’s team was made up of students from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, Emerging Media Arts College and the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
