Monday, March 27, 2023 - 1:15pm

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications is proud to announce Jemalyn Griffin as the March Professor of the Month.

The Professor of the Month program recognizes outstanding faculty members who go above and beyond in their service to students. The CoJMC Student Advisory Board selects the recipients. Griffin, an assistant professor of practice of advertising and public relations, has been a dedicated member of the college faculty since 2018.

Griffin is an integrated marketing and communications expert who teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses in social media theory and practice, digital communications, strategy development, strategic writing and digital branding.

Griffin also serves as the executive director of Jacht Agency, CoJMC’s student-run advertising and public relations firm and co-director of the Experience Lab, a college-wide program that provides students with the opportunity to work with faculty liaisons and professional mentors in one of the college’s seven media outlets or agencies.

Senior advertising and public relations and graphic design double major Emily Bray nominated Griffin for Professor of the Month. In her nomination, Bray said, “Jemalyn is always looking out for her students. She has helped coach a large number of students for internships and helping them to find jobs out of college and is my biggest cheerleader when it comes to embarking on these new adventures. I know I can always count on her to give me great advice and cheer me on.”
