Possessions

By definition, a possession is an item of property. However, it also means a state of being controlled. In a world of dominating materialism and overconsumption, what possessions does a younger generation actually value the most? To explore this topic, I asked people what their favorite thing that they own is, and its importance in their lives. This photo essay tells a story of belonging, connection, and an appreciation for the things that surround us everyday.
