Rhiannon Bennett: Student Spotlight

Jan 15 2020 - 3:00pm

Rhiannon "Rhi" Bennett is the definition of a go-getter. She runs her own photography business Rhiannon B Photography and her sorority's social media channels, Delta Gamma-Kappa Chapter. Fun fact about Rhi— she grew up thrifting and still loves to create outfits for herself and others. Rhi fuels her love for fashion by working part-time at The Buckle

This junior advertising and public relations major is grateful for CoJMC because here she's encouraged by professors to exercise creativity and let her personality shine through in classwork. Her advice for current students? Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new!

Haley Wineman: Student Spotlight

Dec 17 2019 - 1:45pm

For our last Student Spotlight of the semester we’re featuring ADPR major, Haley Wineman who is graduating this Saturday! During Haley’s sophomore year of college she transferred to CoJMC. After studying business and marketing at UNO, she realized her love for creative problem-solving which led her to the J school.

Haley’s capstone project is Jacht Ad Lab that she describes as “unlike any other class in CoJMC because you get to work with real clients and experience agency life before graduating.” As the Director of Account Service, she’s learning more about managing clients and teams, and working with professors who have made a big impact on her life, like Jemalyn Griffin.

Haley’s advice for current students is to not be afraid to fail because that’s when you learn life’s most important lessons.
