Walsh named Center for Transformative Teaching Ambassador

College of Journalism and Mass Communications assistant professor Jessica Walsh has been named a Center for Transformative Teaching (CTT) Ambassador. Walsh completed the ambassador level of the Reflective Practitioner Program.

Five other professors at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln were also named CTT Ambassadors:

  • Ann Marie Pollard – assistant professor of practice at the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film

  • Jena Asgarpoor – professor of practice and director, master of engineering management at the College of Engineering

  • Jing Zhang – assistant professor, biochemistry at the College of Arts and Sciences

  • Erin Bauer – lecturer, department of entomology at the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources

  • Courtney Hillebrecht – professor of political science and director of human rights & humanitarian affairs at the College of Arts and Sciences

By becoming CTT Ambassadors, these faculty have demonstrated their commitment not only to the continual development of their own teaching but also to helping other faculty develop their teaching practices.

CTT Ambassadors conduct teaching-related workshops, write blog posts, lead learning communities, and serve as mentors in the Teaching Support Network.
