The College of Journalism and Mass Communications is planning a student trip to the Society of Professional Journalist MediaFest Conference from Oct. 25-30 in Washington, D.C.
MediaFest22 is a journalism convention, bringing together professional journalists, student journalists and college media advisers from every area of journalism, from across the country, to our nation’s capital. Attendees will hear from renowned speakers; benefit from hands-on workshops, general sessions and concurrent breakout sessions; enjoy networking opportunities; soak up everything the exhibit hall has to offer; celebrate during awards presentations, banquets and receptions; unwind during tours of the city and historical sites.
To participate, students must be a member of the CoJMC chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Students can sign up to be members here.
SPJ Members are invited to register to attend MediaFest in October. The costs for airfare, lodging and conference registration will be provided by a generous donation from the Martin and Doris Deepe Family. Students will be responsible for all other costs associated with travel including meals and public transportation.
