  1. Review of May 10, 2024 minutes
  2. Summer Kudos
    1. May
      1. Nominator: Rick Alloway
        1. Rick nominated Jamie Wenz: Jamie plays a critical role in keeping KRNU on the air, and in reviewing and documenting the performance of the station's technology as required by the Federal Communications Commission. Every three years, the station undergoes an alternative FCC inspection conducted by the Nebraska Broadcasters Association. If we pass this alternative inspection, the FCC will not conduct an actual inspection for the next three years. Our inspection was last Thursday and we passed with flying colors, thanks largely to Jamie's documentation and knowledge of our transmission gear. The inspector was very impressed with our operation. Thanks for all you do, Jamie!
      2. Nominee: Kaitlin Van Loon
        1. Kaitlin was nominated by Tiffany Groteluschen: A huge thank you to Kaitlin for her outstanding work in sending out all scholarship notifications to the recipients and for her crucial help in completing the 2024-2025 scholarship videos. Your dedication and hard work is truly appreciated, Kaitlin!
    2. June
      1. Nominator: Alisa Smith
        1. Alisa nominated Karez Hassan: Karez continues to be invaluable to our academic advising team.  Advising for incoming freshmen opened on May 29th.  Since we are down two advisors, Karez has stepped up and taken on many extra appointments. Thru 8 days of advising, 85.7% or 174 students have scheduled their advising appointments for this summer.  This is up 23.4% from last year.  In this same time, 27.1% or 55 of these students have already registered.  This is up 134% from last year! Thanks so much for all your hard work!
      2. Nominee: Sara Troupe
        1. Sara was nominated by Alisa Smith: Currently, advising is down two positions and the busy NSE season is here.  Sara helped us last summer and is doing so again this year too. Through the first eight days of advising slots, we have already met with 71 incoming freshmen.  This is an increase of over 27% from the same time last year. It's been a busy time and Sara has been a huge help!  She is an invaluable part of the team here in the CoJMC!!
    3. July
      1. Nominator: Natalie Becerra
        1. Natalie nominated Karez Hassan: Kudos to Karez for using her Gallup Strengths (Learner, Input, and more!) to put together an in-depth training manual that is very organized for our new advisors! She has stepped up a lot to help with training and has shared so much knowledge as a seasoned member of the team. Thank you!
      2. Nominee: John Shrader
        1. John Shrader was nominated by Haley Hamel: Due to recent budget cuts, our resources to support student workers next year have diminished. Last week, our student worker supervisors met to discuss reducing reliance on student workers while still meeting the college's needs. Their willingness to find solutions cannot be overstated. What could have been a difficult conversation was instead innovative, collaborative and productive. Each of you should be commended for your teamwork and commitment to the college. Thank you for being great colleagues, great supervisors and all-around exceptional people.
    4. August
      1. Nominator: Jamie Wenz
        1. Jamie nominated Steve Blum: Steve was very helpful (as usual) last week when the Tieline equipment lost it's network connection the day before our students had a BTN+ broadcast. Steve worked hard to troubleshoot the issue and get the equipment back on the network for our broadcast.
