Minoring in broadcasting means being part of the next generation to take over the media landscape, whether producing a new podcast, creating content for social media or leveling up your stream's production. Students build communication skills and produce media that will inform and entertain audiences on screens of all sizes.

A minor in broadcasting enhances communication, storytelling and technical skills, providing valuable media literacy and public speaking abilities that complement any major. It broadens career prospects by offering insights into media influence, hands-on experience with media technologies and networking opportunities with industry professionals. Choose between two options: Media Production or Broadcast News.

*This minor is only open to students outside of the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
