Tyler Bassinger (Broadcasting '11, MA '20) joined CoJMC's Production House as a Professional-in-Residence this fall.

Bassinger is an established creative producer who has led award-winning creative teams in both the educational and private sectors. He began his career at HuskerVision, shooting, editing and producing high-impact videos for the Husker football, men's basketball, and softball teams during his eight years in the athletic department. He led the creation of Husker football tunnel walk videos and men's basketball intro videos for several years, and served as the Executive Producer for the Nebraska Basketball Show for five seasons.

Bassinger currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing & Creative at Supportworks, leading a talented department of marketers, designers, video producers, and event planners. Under Bassinger's leadership and creative direction, the team has captured more than 20 national, regional and local awards for its work.

Under the tutelage of legendary professor Rick Alloway, Bassinger received his bachelor's degree in broadcasting production from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2011. During his time as an undergraduate, he interned at The Daily Nebraskan and HuskerVision. He completed his master of arts degree in CoJMC's Integrated Media Communications program in 2020.

Bassinger resides in Lincoln with his wife, Lauren, and their six children.
