Levi Peters is a professional-in-residence in the Experience Lab at the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

Peters has over 15 years of experience working in video production and marketing. Peters began his career in advertising at KOLN-KGIN TV as a Creative Producer. In 2013 he began working for Roroflix, a video production studio in Lincoln, Nebraska. At this creative studio he produced tv commercials, short documentaries, web series and local and national content for clients. One highlight was working on The Harbor by Jostens, a character-building web series that played in high schools across the country. Peters holds a Part 107 drone pilot certification. He has flown for a University of Nebraska-Lincoln national television commercial.

Peters currently works at CompanyCam as a Senior Video Producer. As part of a large in-house marketing team, he collaborates with others to create high-performing advertisements and video content. Specifically, he focuses on direct response ads and top-of-funnel messaging.

Peters graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a B.F.A. in Theatre: Film and New Media in 2009. During his time at the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film he worked on several student films including the Carson School Film Vipers in the Grass.

The challenge of capturing someone’s attention is what drew Peters to advertising. The ever-changing nature of video and its evolution over the years keep him interested in this field. His passion involves all production phases, from the spark of an idea to the final export.
