Kiersten Hill is the driving force behind Firespring’s nonprofit solutions and an inspiration to organizations nationwide. With nearly two decades of dedicated service in nonprofit management and fundraising, Kiersten has raised over $20 million to strengthen Nebraska’s nonprofit sector.
Kiersten’s roots run deep in her community. Recognized as a trailblazer in her field, Kiersten’s accolades include being named a Midlands Business Journal 40 Under 40 winner and the 2013 Lincoln Nonprofit Executive of the Year. Her appetite for leadership led her through esteemed programs like Leadership Hastings, Leadership Nebraska and Leadership Lincoln.
Transitioning from the frontline of nonprofit leadership to Firespring, Kiersten was able to amplify her impact by assisting, educating and equipping nonprofits for success on a larger, national scale. Her passion for elevating organizations, their leaders and boards of directors to achieve their mission radiates through her work.
A dynamic thought leader and speaker, Kiersten captivates audiences with her expertise in marketing, fundraising, board development and organizational transformation. In the past year alone, she has led or presented at nearly 100 webinars and nonprofit conferences—her insights sparking inspiration and change. Kiersten has unlocked the power of storytelling through formal training in the principles of StoryBrand. She is adept at guiding nonprofits to craft compelling narratives that resonate deeply with their audiences. Her infectious energy, authenticity and relatability stem from years spent in the nonprofit world, walking alongside those she has the privilege to empower.
Hill is a Nebraska native from North Platte and a proud alum of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies.
Kiersten is married to Chad Hill and the mother to Cooper Hill, a 16-year-old Junior at Seward High School. She has two large dogs and one tiny cat. When she's not working on spending time with her family, you can find her scrolling social media or engrossed in a rom-com or romance novel.
