This is Jennifer Schultz's first year working with the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, serving as a Professional-in-Residence for Buoy.
Jennifer has worked in marketing and communications for both nonprofit and for-profit organizations for more than 25 years. As a University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications alum, she has experience in fitness, athletics, health care, technology and higher education fundraising, specializing in strategy, branding, brand management, integrated communications campaigns, internal communications, B2B and nonprofit. Her top five CliftonStrengths are: Individualization, Achiever, Analytical, Harmony and Focus.
She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1997 with degrees in both News-Editorial and Advertising through the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. In 2004, she also completed the Integrated Media Communications Master of Arts, with an emphasis in Advertising from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Beyond her day job as the Senior Director of Marketing and Campaign Communications at the University of Nebraska Foundation, she enjoys volunteering for a variety of nonprofit organizations. She currently serves on the American Marketing Association Lincoln Chapter board, the Raymond Central Educational Foundation board and the Raymond Central Community Foundation board. When not volunteering for her kids’ school, church or other organizations, she loves watching Husker sports and spending time with friends and family.
