Where did you transfer from, and what led you to consider a new college or major?
I transferred to UNL after I graduated from Metro Community College in Omaha with an associate's degree in liberal studies
What made you choose the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at UNL?
I always saw myself pursuing a career in the sports industry, and the COJMC at UNL allowed me to do just that at the university I dreamed of attending my whole life.
How did you navigate the transfer process, and what helped you feel supported along the way?
I had a lot of very helpful professors and classmates that made me feel at home.
What opportunities at CoJMC—classes, student media, clubs, or internships—have made a difference in your experience here?
The experience I’ve gained by working at The Daily Nebraskan, and the opportunities given to me as a member of the UNLimited Sports experience lab helped me become the writer I am today.
How has transferring to CoJMC shaped your academic goals or career path?
Transferring to the CoJMC at UNL inspired me to create academic and career goals for myself.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about transferring to UNL and the College of Journalism and Mass Communications?
Take advantage of as many opportunities as you can!
