Bridget Lewis is a part-time lecturer in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, bringing extensive experience in corporate communications, journalism and media relations to her role. She holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a master’s degree in journalism from the same institution, where she studied abroad in Cambodia, Singapore and Indonesia as a Hitchcock Fellow.

In her full-time role, Lewis serves as a senior communications consultant, where she develops and executes media relations strategies to elevate her company’s various initiatives. Previously, Lewis held roles such as director of marketing and communications at The Oakridge School, where she managed media relations and implemented a comprehensive communications strategy. Her career in journalism includes producing broadcasts at WSB-TV in Atlanta, Georgia and at WFAA-TV/ABC 8 in Dallas, Texas, where she earned multiple Emmy Awards for her work. Additionally, she contributed to advancing the public image of institutions such as the University of Texas at Arlington.

Lewis serves on the executive board of the Nebraska Alumni Association and is a member of the Council of Alumni Ambassadors.
