Brett Baker is a seven-time Heartland Regional Emmy Award-winning television news journalist and producer with nearly 35 years of broadcast experience. Baker is a senior producer at Straight Arrow News, producing the award-winning weekly series Weapons & Warfare.

Before joining Straight Arrow News, Baker was the executive producer at 10/11 News in Lincoln. Over the years, he produced 10/11's 5 a.m., 6 a.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. shows, in addition to countless specials and live, breaking news events.

Prior to his tenure in Lincoln, Baker lived in San Antonio, TX, where he served as the senior sports producer for KSAT 12 for over a decade. The Associated Press twice recognized his work as the 'Best Sportscast' in Texas.

Baker is a proud U.S. Military's Defense Information School graduate and an Air Force veteran. His career has taken him to 17 countries, covering everything from the war in the Balkans to the Super Bowl. In his spare time, Baker serves on the Nebraska Speech Communication & Theatre Association (NSCTA) executive committee.

Baker is in his 13th year as an assistant speech coach at his alma mater, Malcolm High School. Originally from Malcolm, Nebraska, he is very proud to work in the area he calls home.
