Digital Marketing Supervisor Union Bank & Trust University of Nebraska-Lincoln

I'll be a Professional-in-Residence with Buoy. I look forward to working with and learning from the next generation of marketers.

After developing an interest in advertising while in college, I participated as a copywriter in the Bailey Laureman Experience, a six-week intensive internship program where we developed a campaign for the Smithsonian Museum of American History. The following summer, I co-founded an advertising agency, redthread, and served as the sole creative director on the team.

After a few years, I sought a change of scenery in Colorado where I worked on a farm before becoming a tour guide. I enjoyed taking tourists on guided trips to the mountains before COVID brought things to a halt.

During the pandemic, I learned how to code using a free online curriculum. This helped me land a web strategist role at Union Bank & Trust in 2021. Since then, my role has expanded to developing and monitoring digital channel strategies, including maintaining content and functionality on the website, landing page strategy, and overseeing email and social media marketing.

I studied marketing at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 2016. Although I learned about marketing as a whole through the College of Business, I found myself gravitating toward advertising which led me to take many classes in the Journalism School. I participated in the National Student Advertising Competition for three years, serving as a copywriter, research director, and creative director. I also spent a summer with the Jacht Ad Lab, working as a copywriter on the Shrine Bowl account.

While at Nebraska, I co-founded Students Together Against Cancer and I was selected to join the Innocents Society.

I am an avid Nebraska Basketball and Colorado Avalanche supporter. I enjoy playing video games and going on walks with my wife, Olivia, as well as the occasional urge to read a book.
