Beau Poehlman is an adjunct instructor within the College of Journalism and Mass Communications visual communications program. He is also in his eighth semester as a Professional-in-Residence with the Experience Lab.
Poehlman is the Video Production Supervisor at Ameritas, where he leads a team of in-house marketing videographers in producing live action, audio, and animation projects that tell the Ameritas story to the world. His team has earned 11 Telly awards, 2 Prism awards from the AMA Lincoln chapter, and a Heartland Emmy award.
Poehlman is a graduate of the CoJMC, where he majored in broadcasting with a focus on production. During his time as a student, he worked part-time at 90.3 KRNU.
For more than 10 years, Poehlman co-hosted a weekly indie music radio show on 89.3 KZUM, Lincoln's community radio station. He currently participates in the radio station's Podcast Partners program, where he produces and co-hosts Underplayed, a podcast dedicated to discussing and celebrating independently-created interactive experiences.
In his free time, Poehlman is also a juggler and has been a regular member of the Lincoln City Juggling Club since 2011. He has juggled as a performance art for festivals, parties, elementary schools, marathons, churches, and weddings.
