Six students graduate from University Honors Program

Two-hundred-five graduates completed the requirements of the University Honors Program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Six of the students graduated from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

To graduate from the Honors Program, students must maintain at least a 3.5 grade-point average, complete a culminating senior project or research thesis, and fulfill other curricular requirements.  

“These students have accomplished so much throughout their time here, and we are excited to see what comes next for each of them,” said Tyler White, faculty director of the Honors Program. “They should all be proud of their achievements as they begin the next part of their lives.”  

The following is a list of CoJMC University Honors Program graduates by last name, with their major(s) and hometown: 

  • Maddie Ames: journalism, advertising and public relations double major from Lincoln 

  • Erica Napuli: advertising and public relations major from Frisco, Texas 

  • Emily Stoner: advertising and public relations, sports media and communication double major from Lincoln 

  • Aislinn Sullivan: advertising and public relations major from Prairie Village, Kansas 

  • David Swotek: broadcasting, sports media and communication double major from Lincoln 

  • Anna Youell: advertising and public relations major from Omaha
