Associate Professors Valerie Jones and Changmin Yan received a pilot grant from the 2021 Great Plains IDeA Center for a project aimed at using voice assistants such as Google’s Alexa to reduce loneliness in the elderly.
Professor Maria Marron edited her second book examining Misogyny in Media. Published by Rowan and Littlefield on Feb. 15, “Misogyny across Global Media” argues that although women’s experiences under misogyny are by no means universal, patriarchal social and institutional systems facilitate gender-based hostility across the globe.
