Meet one of the amazing professionals-in-residence, Tyler Bassinger. Tyler is a PIR for Production House, the Experience Lab course focused on video production and content creation, and this is his first semester in the role. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for both his undergraduate and master’s degrees, earning a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting in 2011 and a master’s degree in integrated media communications in 2020.
While at UNL, Tyler worked at HuskerVision as a video production specialist, shooting, editing and producing videos for Husker football, basketball and softball. In September 2017, he joined SupportWorks, Inc. as a video specialist and has since advanced to vice president of creative and marketing, leading a team that has earned 20 national, regional and local awards. Tyler plays an active role in Production House by attending in-class critiques and workshops and mentoring students through collaboration and engagement.
