By the Numbers: Employee Climate Survey

Thank you to everyone who completed the 2022 Employee Climate Survey last week. Out of 127 active employees in the college, 62 completed the survey, for a response rate of 48%. Almost all our employees believe that their work positively impacts the success of our students, faculty and staff and are proud to be associated with our college and the university. This provides a solid foundation to implement efforts to further improve our climate. Check out the results of the survey below. Responses of strongly agree and somewhat agree have been combined into “agree” and strongly disagree and somewhat disagree have been combined into “disagree.” 

The strategic planning committee will be examining the results in detail in the coming weeks to make recommendations to further improve our climate.

  1. Employees in the college are treated with dginity and respect, regardless of their position or background.

  1. I believe my work positively impacts the success of our students, faculty, and staff. 

  1. I am proud to be associated with the college and university. 

  1. Leadership in the college has adequately communicated the organization's long-range goals and strategic direction. 

  1. People here are open to trying new and different ways of addressing our college's challenges. 

  1. I feel my personal contributions are recognized. 

  1. My supervisor treats me with respect. 

  1. The college promotes an environment of physical, mental, and social well-being. 

  1. There is good cooperation between employees in the college. 

  1. I feel my professional development is supported and encouraged. 

  1. I feel that training and engagement for diversity equity and inclusion are supported and encouraged. 

  1. I feel opportunities for improving course management and course grading via canvas and other applications is supported and encouraged.
