A note from the advising team

Why is registering during Priority Registration important?

Registering during priority registration helps you get the best schedule possible. It also helps departments understand how many students need certain courses. If you do not enroll in classes during priority registration, you could impact our decisions on cutting courses due to low enrollment which impacts you and your peers.

Another way to help ensure the right number of courses are being added to the schedule is by joining the waitlist for courses if they are closed. The advising team can then consider opening additional sections if the waitlist suggests additional sections are needed.

If you have any registration holds on your account, please try to address them before your priority registration date and time. Check MyRed for Holds and instructions on how to address them. If you have questions, please connect with your academic advisor.

Priority Registration is October 25 – November 9. Your assigned date and time will be located in MyRed under Messages on October 4. Your assigned date depends on how many credit hours you’ve earned and cannot be changed.
