New class of ambassadors announced for the 2022-2023 school year

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism has welcomed a new class of ambassadors. Six students joined the ambassador team in January 2022, and seven students joined in April 2022.

The CoJMC ambassadors are an important part of the college, helping with several recruitment efforts, including CoJMC tours, workshops, admissions events and more. They discuss their campus involvement with prospective students and provide them more insight about CoJMC and college life. The ambassador team includes students in different academic years, majors, internships, clubs and campus involvement.

These are the new ambassadors, including their year, major(s) and hometown:

Nebraska:

-       Grand Island: Ashley Parra Valencia, junior, advertising and public relations; Damon Bennett, sophomore, broadcasting; Jaelyn Gross, sophomore, advertising and public relations and broadcasting; Skylee Nelson, junior, sports media and communication and broadcasting

-       Papillion: Amber Rodriguez, junior, journalism

-       Seward: Hannah Roebke, sophomore, broadcasting and journalism

-       Omaha: Faith Worden, sophomore, advertising and public relations and sports media and communication

Illinois:

-       Glenview: Tyler Hurst, sophomore, sports media and communication and broadcasting

-       Springfield: Rebecca Heckel, senior, journalism

Kansas:

-       Liberal: Savanna Hebbert, sophomore, advertising and public relations and sports media and communication

Kentucky:

-       Paducah: Brenden Evers, sophomore, sports media and communication and broadcasting

Japan:

-       Yokosuka: Ariana Joy Cobler, sophomore, journalism and broadcasting
