Below is the updated calendar for the Meier Media Studios project. All dates are subject to change:
Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13
Move audio booths 205, 206, 207 and 208. This will be done one at a time, making sure that only one audio booth is unavailable at a time. The moves will happen in this order:
- Remove remaining equipment from storage room 242 and temporarily move it to room 15 storage.
- Remove equipment from room 206 and relocate it to room 217.
- Remove equipment from room 207 and relocate it to room 218.
- Remove equipment from room 208 and relocate it to room 317.
Monday, March 16 - estimated 3 weeks
Construction begins in room 242, 205, 206, 207 and 208.
- UNL IT department pulling cables from the first floor to rooms 242, 201, GM’s office, 205, 206, 207, 208, 248 and 249.
- Jamie will remove equipment from room 205. Move the SPL computer to room 249 and use this room as the temporary studio for KRNU2. We are waiting to move this equipment to this date to prevent disruption to KRNU and Unlimited Sports basketball, soccer, baseball and softball coverage.
Monday, May 4 - estimated 1 week
Broadcast Depot on site in room 228 to configuring equipment and placing it in racks in room 242.
Friday, June 1 - estimated
Construction completed in rooms 205, 206, 207 and 208.
Monday, June 8 – Tuesday, June 23
Begin final equipment installation in room 242. Construction continues in rooms 201, 248 and 249.
- Set up furniture and audio equipment in all room
- Testing and configuration.
- Remove window between GM’s office and room 205. Set up a temporary barrier between the rooms, cover with sound dampening blankets.
- Set up room 205 for KRNU2 Broadcasting with Telos audio equipment and SPL automation computer.
- Set up room 201 for KRNU Broadcasting with Telos audio equipment and SPL automation computer.
Monday, April 20 - Friday, May 8
Construction begins on rooms 201, 248 and 249
Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 17
RCS begins configuration of Zetta automation.
Monday, July 20
RCS and Broadcast Depot training and prepare switchover from SPL to Zetta.
Monday, August 10
Zetta automation GO LIVE date.
