Below is the updated calendar for the Meier Media Studios project. All dates are subject to change:
Steady progress is being made on the KRNU upgrade project. The windows that had been backordered have arrived and were installed last week. The general manager’s office has been cleared and crews are busy doing drywall work, installing additional network cables and finishing electrical work. New carpet, acoustic ceiling tiles and wall treatments will soon follow.
Broadcast Depot has most of the furniture installed in the audio booths and will finish as soon as construction is wrapped up. All of the studios will be ready for students when they return for fall classes.
July 13 to July 31
RCS begins configuration of Zetta automation.
August 3 to August 15
Broadcast Depot on site finishing furniture and equipment installation and configuration.
August 17 to August 21
RCS on site finishing configuration and training on station automation and scheduling hardware and software. Classrooms 224 and 228 will be cleared of KRNU equipment and returned to regular classroom configurations. Temporary audio booths will be cleared of equipment and returned to office space.
