Maddie Hansen of Omaha is one of twenty senior students named homecoming royalty finalists at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln—Hansen double majors in advertising and public relations, and journalism.
"Being homecoming royalty has been a dream of mine since freshman year, but it's hard to believe that dream has become reality," Hansen said. "I am so excited to represent the school I love so much."
Currently, Hansen is a brand design intern at Hudl. On campus, she's an ambassador for UNL's Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and a resident assistant at UNL housing.
The student body elected the royalty winners in an online vote on Oct. 2 and 3. Winners will be crowned on Saturday, Oct. 5, at halftime of the Nebraska vs. Rutgers football game, which kicks off at 3 p.m. in Memorial Stadium.
