WHAT DOES GRADUATING FROM NEBRASKA MEAN TO YOU?
Graduating from college is one of my biggest accomplishments and it means so much to be since I am the oldest of six children and neither of my parents graduated college. I got married last year during the school year and my husband has also been one of my biggest supporters over this past year (he also graduated from UNL a few years ago). I am starting my own photography business and cannot wait to go full into that after graduating.

INVOLVEMENTS:
I was a part of The William H. Thompson Scholars Learning Community. I worked at the Daily Nebraskan for a year. I received the Gilman scholarship to study abroad. I also received a summer UCARE funding but it didn't work out for me to follow through with it.

PLANS AFTER GRADUATION:
I will be running Grace Trexel Photography in Lincoln, Nebraska.

After graduation, I am most looking forward to doing what I am passionate about: photography and telling stories.

The best thing about being a Husker is being a part of a community of people who are striving to make the world a better place.

Thank you to my family who encouraged me from day one to dream, to achieve, to work hard and to apply myself at whatever I set out to do. My parents inspired me and cheered for me. They taught me to care about people and about my faith. Now, my family has expanded this past year I couldn't have finished college without my husband by my side. Whatever it was that I needed, he was always there bringing or making me food on the late study nights encouraging me to keep going.
