Students entered the challenge for the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship and to have their design displayed as a mural on the south wall of the Bailey Lauerman Student Commons on the third floor of Andersen Hall.
They had two weeks to come up with a design and copy that celebrates the power of diversity in Nebraska.
This year’s judging team included Bailey Lauerman Creative Directors Casey Stokes and Sean Faden and Account Supervisor Abbie Perry. The students’ designs were judged based on the following criteria: specifications, innovation, design principles impact and takeaway.
During the spring semester, Choi will work with designers at Bailey Lauerman to perfect her submitted design before it’s installed as a mural. McClure will get to work with BL’s copy team to learn how to best incorporate her copywriting work into a professional portfolio.
