Americans with Disabilities Act Training for Supervisors

Saturday, February 12, 2022 - 8:00am

Institutional Equity and Compliance is offering campus supervisors an opportunity to learn about the Americans with Disabilities Act and other laws and policies related to creating an accessible work environment for current employees and job applicants. The next session is Feb. 17.

The free professional development workshop will be led by Deb Huryta, ADA and Section 504 compliance officer, and Deanna Schuldeis, Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action specialist. They will present information and answer questions about laws, definitions, accessibility in hiring, accessibility for current employees, how to manage changing conditions, and how-to information about current procedures and policies.

The training, which takes about 90 minutes, is available through Zoom. Registration is required.

Three sessions are being offered during the spring semester — 9:30 a.m. Feb. 17; 1:30 p.m. March 23; and 10:00 a.m. April 21.

All individuals who complete the training will be able to print a certificate of completion.
