The college was thrilled to welcome alumni back to campus for a weekend filled with nostalgia, celebration and reconnection. We're grateful to our alumni family whose dedication and achievements continue to inspire the next generation of storytellers and communicators.

We kicked off Homecoming Week with an office door decorating contest. Faculty, staff and student workers decorated their doors to match the 2024 Homecoming theme "Cornchella." Alumni voted for their favorite door later in the week during our Homecoming party.

Kaci Richter made her office into "backstage" at Cornchella, with posters of featured performers: the Comm Design Lab, Jacht Agency and each of the college's Experience Lab areas.

We also celebrated CoJMC senior and Homecoming royalty finalist Maddie Hansen. Hansen is an advertising and public relations, and journalism double major from Omaha.

Our Dean's Advisory Board met the morning of Friday, Oct. 4 and our Comprehensive Campaign Committee met that afternoon. Between meetings, both groups ate lunch with students involved in various experiences and programs in their college majors.

Friday night, we hosted our annual homecoming celebration at Andersen Hall. Our alumni family joined us for an evening of fun that featured college-related trivia contests, a photo booth, tours of the college and a build-your-own brownie van.

We'd like to thank our alumni for returning to campus and for their continued commitment to shaping the future of journalism and mass communications. We look forward to many more reunions, shared memories and opportunities to foster connections within our CoJMC family.
