KRNU Renovation

Since 1970, 90.3 KRNU, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s campus radio station, has been a vital training ground for future broadcasters, offering hands-on learning to build their skills and confidence. To enhance the station and secure its future, we are undertaking a major renovation to provide cutting-edge technology, upgrade the secondary webstream for expanded digital broadcasting, and refurbish five audio booths for professional-grade production, ensuring KRNU’s enduring legacy of excellence and innovation.

SMART-Lab

The new Social and Traditional Media Analytics and Research Tools Lab melds cutting-edge research with experimental learning. This state-of-the-art facility includes a high-tech research lab for health communication, social justice and esports, and a versatile classroom with advanced AV systems for interactive teaching and media experimentation. By enhancing the college’s educational and research capabilities, the SMART-Lab prepares students for the evolving media landscape.

Equipment Support
