This year’s Nebraska Women’s Leadership Network Conference takes place from Oct. 28 - Oct. 30. The event on Thursday, Oct. 28 is for students only, geared to give them the confidence to walk into a room and more easily network with professionals.

Fall 2021 graduate assistantships

The College of Journalism and Mass Communications has 12 graduate assistants this fall. Graduate assistantships in the CoJMC are offered to promising scholars with an interest in gaining teaching, research or industry experience in their field. Graduate assistants serve as teaching or research assistants to accomplished faculty, teach in the college’s innovative Design Communication Program or work in strategic communications for an industry partner.

Through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications, students will have the opportunity to join Jacht, a full-service, student-run advertising agency. Not a part of the CoJMC? Jacht is open to all students! Our agency provides clients with research, strategic branding, videography, photography, social media strategy, and various design deliverables. With the help and guidance of faculty, Jacht provides students with the chance to apply what they learned in the classroom by working with clients on real world projects. Jacht offers a unique opportunity to create the first draft of your career while still in college.

Walk-in vaccine clinics are available at the University Health Center Pharmacy Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you are not fully vaccinated, make sure you are completing your weekly Covid-19 tests to keep your status green for building access.

Congratulations to all of our graduate students who are earning their master of arts this afternoon. Courtney Van Hoosen Makhmudzoda is one of our awesome Integrated Media Communications graduates. She's now a two-time Husker alumna and she's the first in her family to earn a graduate degree.

UNL PRSSA Receives the PRSSA National Star Chapter Award
