Erin Sorensen is a content creator, storyteller and Emmy Award-winning journalist. She is the founder of hello eso, a marketing and branding agency dedicated to amplifying the voices of small businesses and nonprofits. Through hello eso, Sorensen specializes in social media management and strategy, content creation, public relations and strategic communication, SEO and blogging. Her mission is to increase the reach and drive meaningful results for her clients.

Sorensen's background in sports journalism and reporting inspired her to co-found Counter Read, a newsletter focused on telling Nebraska sports stories with depth and insight. She believes that every story deserves to be told, whether it’s in 280 characters or 1,000 words, and that these stories should be seen and heard. A creative at heart, Sorensen also enjoys diving into data to better understand and enhance results.

With a love for both new-school media, like TikTok, and old-school media, such as print journalism, Sorensen embraces a diverse approach to storytelling. She enjoys the challenge of achieving various goals and continuously adapts to the evolving media landscape.

Sorensen also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she teaches sports writing in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. Her extensive experience includes roles such as deputy editor and digital marketing strategist at Hail Varsity, where she managed the website's daily operations, created content, and significantly grew the publication’s social media following.

In addition to her professional achievements, Sorensen is strongly committed to mentoring and coaching. She served as a varsity cheer coach at Boys Town, where she mentored youth and coordinated strategic marketing communications as an online engagement specialist.

Sorensen’s career includes experience as a multimedia sports reporter at Cox Media, online editor and director of digital marketing at Hail Varsity, and Nebraska lead writer for Bleacher Report. Her early career involved roles such as sales manager at Aimbridge Hospitality and interactive media manager at National Research Corporation.

Sorensen’s dedication to storytelling, creativity, and community impact continues to inspire those around her. Her multifaceted approach to media and communication ensures that her clients' stories are told effectively and passionately.
